The Women’s Center of Greater Cleveland was established in 1986. It began with a small office, a few programs and a strong vision. Now it is covering a wide range of support services for women and their families. Today, it is very helpful provide the women greater control over their lives covering physical, emotional and economical aspects. Women’s Center helping the women with their basic emotional problems like hopeless, desperate, frightened and angry. It accepts all women from any races, cultures, religions, socioeconomic and educational backgrounds. It providing support and encouragement to women to gain self-sufficiency and achieve their dreams.

Last year it has given nine thousands and nine hundreds services covering more than twenty one women and their families. It solicits respects and honors the women input at the time of entering the hospital. Here woman take part in making decisions about services, treatment goals and other decisions with staff and volunteers. It is accredited by the Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services Board of Cuyahoga County.


It also provides a five week practical parenting program conducted by licensed professionals. It goes through many problems like avoiding, enabling, keeping secrets, controlling, making promises and sexual and physical abuse. Additionally, it also goes through development of physical, intellectual and emotional aspects. In discipline program it covers appropriate consequences, responsibility, allowing kids to make mistakes. And in its building relationships it focuses on trust, honesty, respect, love and acceptance.

It provides alcohol and other drug treatment programs providing time and gender specific treatment for women accepting low income and medically indigent women. Its each treatment program has three-phase those are intensive outpatient treatment, relapse prevention and aftercare.
