It gives a boost and elevation of mood. Caffeine is in tea, coffee, chocolate etc. In its natural form, caffeine’s tastes bitter. But most caffeinated drinks have gone through enough processing to bring down the bitter taste.

Caffeine is a sort of stimulant having the power to ward off the sleepiness and restore alertness. Beverages which contains caffeine like tea, coffee, Chocolate enjoy great popularity due to the same reason.

It is the most widely consumed psychoactive product. Unlike other stimulants, it is legal and unregulated.

Many people think caffeine betters their body and makes them fresh. But high doses of caffeine will lead to anxiety, dizziness, headaches and jitters. It also affects your normal sleep. The smaller the man, less the caffeine needed to create side effects.

The more you used to it, more it takes to satisfy you, you will become less sensitive to it called as ‘tolerance’. Studies conducted shows consumption of caffeine led to growth in children. But in adults, it caused nausea, urinary urgency, nervousness etc.

Symptoms of withdrawal

Sudden caffeine withdrawal causes excess blood passage in the head, thus gives you a headache and nausea. Also the symptoms are:
-Irritability
-Lack of concentration
-Lack of commitment
-Diminished motivation etc

Measures to step aside

Suppose if one is a regular caffeine consumer and accustomed to it, if wants to quit, then it is done by cutting back slowly. Otherwise it leads to headaches and other problems.

Water like non-caffeinated drinks is suggested. One may feel tired soon after the withdrawal but gradually one can get used to it. The energy levels will be back to the normal soon.
