Flunitrazepam is a class of drug which is widely used as a sedative. Rohypnol is its brand name. It is used in the treatment of insomnia. The street name or slang of this drug is known as ‘roofie’ also known as rophy, ruffies, rope, roche etc.

It can be consumed as a pill or a liquid and can be snorted too. Combination of roofie with other depressants like alcohol produces amnesia and seizures.
