When a person take drugs then, drugs mix with the blood of the person and goes in the brain an a hormone is secreted which cause the pleasurable feeling and the person wants to take it again. In individual drug counseling first of all screening of patient is done in which an introduction interview of patient and his family member will be taken from it the counselor come to know about the patient mental status after that assessment session take place which through which a counselor come to know how much help do patient requires and in which area means physically or mentally mainly the counselor is concerned with mental health. Then planning part came and processing of treatment procedure started.

In treatment process counseling sessions are carried out in which interests and thoughts of patient come out in front of counselor from that he came to know about the problem and derive solution of that patient and change the behavior of the patient. When the behavior changes the aftercare program is carried out with care otherwise problem of relapse can take place. Meanwhile some other functions are also carried out to treat patient and help counselor they are record keeping, consultation with other professionals, recovery and case management.
